Tracee, Travione & Noah Tracee Cottle is a 29 year old single mother raising two wonderful boys: Travione, age 12, and Noah, age 4. Tracee is an extremely enthusiastic person who is trying to provide a better life for her two children. Unfortunately, as a single mother she is not getting financial support from the fathers of the two boys. Through hard work she finished high school while having a young child and since then she has been employed in jobs that cannot provide enough money for her and the two boys.
Tracee has taken it upon herself to enter a mentoring program to develop career skills all while continuing her education to be a medical assistant. During these tough economic times she simply cannot afford rent, daycare, groceries, student loans and many other daily life expenses and she is struggling to provide her children with basic life necessities. Tracee and her boys qualify for very little financial aid and they are slowly falling through the cracks in the network of assistance programs. Tracee is conscious of being a good role model for her children and showing them that through hard work they can accomplish anything. This is our opportunity to support Tracee and help her be the positive role model that Travione and Noah need.
Andi, Zaine & Chad Wagoner On June 11, 2010, four-year old Zaine Wagoner and his grandmother were in a car accident near Lafayette, IN. The grandmother was killed instantly and Zaine was taken by helicopter to the hospital where he would spend the next 68 days fighting for his life. Zaine was diagnosed with a traumatic brain injury and suffered a massive stroke, which caused paralysis on his left side. Currently, his food and medications are administered through a feeding tube. Through rigorous therapy sessions Zaine is in the process of learning to eat, walk, talk, and sit up, all of which the doctors
said he may never do again. Zaine and his family have remained positive and he has been making excellent strides through the continued therapy, but his overall recovery is unknown. Despite his current condition, his presence continues to be uplifting and warms the hearts of those around him. Both of Zaine’s parents, Chad and Andrea, had to leave their jobs to care for Zaine full-time. They have liquidated many of their possessions to pay for everyday living expenses, additional travel expenses required for commuting to therapy, and medical costs that are not covered through Medicaid. Many of Zaine’s immediate medical needs surpass allowable coverage and are difficult to predict given his situation. The official prognosis is that with the proper amount of therapy and medical care Zaine may be able to live an independent adult life. With the help of donations to the LPBC, let’s make sure that Zaine receives the best care possible and is given every opportunity to live a normal life.
